COTHN is a private non-profit technological Centre dedicated to strengthen the development of the Portuguese fruits and vegetables sector (and most recently the flower sector), through applied research, as well as the improvement of knowledge level and the enhancement of partnerships in technology and organisation areas.

Backed by over 60 entities (among associations of food companies, SMEs, universities, city councils and co-operatives), COTHN develops and provides services that improve access to information for the development of the sector, as well as services for its quality improvement.

COTHN is able to achieve more than 5000 SMEs across its national associated members, combined to over 3000 producers scattered across regional members.
